Road closure – Lions Den (1-5 September 2025)
A length of Lions Den in Hammerwich from its junction with Hall Lane and continuing for a distance of approximately 200 metres in a generally south-westerly direction, will be closed on 1st September 2025. It is anticipated that the works will be completed by 5th September 2025.

A length of Hammerwich Road in Burntwood outside Apple Tree Farm will be closed on 1st August 2025. It is anticipated that the works will be completed on the same day.

A length of Stockhay Lane from its junction with A5190 Lichfield Road to its junction with Hammerwich Road will be closed on 23rd July 2025. It is anticipated that the works will be completed on the same day.

A length of Meerash Lane in Hammerwich, from its juncton with Ashmall and continuing in a westerly direction to its junction with Meerash Lane northern access to Hall Lane, will be closed on 16th July 2025.

Commemoration of the 80th anniversary of VE Day – Sunday 11th May 10am
A service to commemorate the 80th anniversary of VE Day will be held on Sunday 11th May at 10am at St Johns The Baptist Church, Hammerwich. Food and refreshments will continue at the Hammerwich Community Centre to celebrate.
