Cllr David Smith, the long-standing County Councillor who has decided not to stand at the next election, says goodbye to Hammerwich Parish Council.

Councillor David Smith says goodbye to Hammerwich Parish Council

Staffordshire County Councillor David Smith has decided not to stand for office at the next round of elections.

As part of his workload, David was tasked to attend meetings five Parish Council in the area, which he has done religiously for many years. His last port of call was Hammerwich, where he was thanked for his service and presented with his very own rose, named, ‘David Smith’.

Chairman Mi Greenway presented the rose and thanked him for his support over the years. Cllr Wasdell, who goes back many years with David, added his thanks and recalled some of the projects they shared.
