Road Closure – Meerash Lane (19/12/2025)
A length of Meerash Lane approximately 250m East of junction with Hanney Hay Road will be closed on 19th December 2025 as work being undertaken by Staffordshire County Council Highways.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Staffordshire County Council being the highway authority responsible for the repair and maintenance of Meerash Lane in Hammerwich are satisfied that it is necessary to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that length of Meerash Lane approximately 250m East of junction with Hanney Hay Road for a period of 1days but no more than 5 days from 19th December 2025 because of the likelihood of danger to the public during tree pruning works being undertaken by Staffordshire County Council.
Access will be available for pedestrians and for vehicles being used in connection with the works and for emergency services vehicles or for vehicles requiring access to properties on the length of road which is closed.
An alternative route for traffic is available via Overton Lane, Coppy Nook Lane, Hospital Road, Sawpit Lane, Hanney Hay Road, Meerash Lane and vice versa.

IT IS ANTICIPATED THAT THE CLOSURE WILL BE IN PLACE BETWEEN 00:00 HOURS ON 19th December 2025 AND 23:59 HOURS ON 19th December 2025.
