Please be informed that the Hammerwich Parish Council has received the following event notification from a land developer, Cameron Homes, regarding a proposed residential development on land to the south of Highfields Road, Chasetown.

Dear Hammerwich Parish Council,

I am writing on behalf of Cameron Homes, to inform you of an upcoming public consultation event relating to a proposed residential development on land to the south of Highfields Road, Chasetown.

The attached leaflet has been posted to residents in the southern part of Chasetown, inviting them to the event and offering them the opportunity to submit comments via the dedicated consultation website or by email.

The public consultation event will be open to the public on Thursday 2nd October 2025 from 4.00pm-8.00pm, at Chasetown Football Club, The Scholars Ground, Church Street, Burntwood WS7 3QL.

The proposal involves the development of up to 450 new homes, comprising a mix of housing types, including affordable housing to help meet local needs. The plans also include:

  • New on-site public open space, including children’s play areas
  • New pedestrian and cycle links to create new recreation routes
  • Sustainable drainage features including attenuation basins
  • Highway improvements
  • Landscaped green spaces, including biodiversity enhancements

A planning application is currently being prepared and is expected to be submitted in December 2025.
